Upload is not enabled in V1
Use the photo-preparation tool now. The future interface will accept a front image, back image, holder image and optional container label.
Prepare coin photosWhat the V2 checker should do
- Suggest a likely country, denomination, design family and date range.
- Read a visible date and mint mark when image quality permits.
- Flag possible silver, gold, certification holders, errors and key-date research candidates.
- Ask the user to confirm details before opening a value guide.
- Generate a private inventory row and research links.
What it must never claim from one image
- Final authenticity.
- A professional numerical grade.
- A guaranteed value or dealer offer.
- Confirmation of a rare mint error without specialist evidence.
Recommended workflow
The model should return a confidence level, visible evidence, missing evidence and a next action. High-value or high-risk possibilities should route to certified examples, official grading references and human specialists rather than produce a dramatic price claim.
Privacy principle: A production version should minimize retention, strip location metadata where possible and clearly tell families what happens to uploaded estate photographs.
